If you are a golfer with traditional tastes and don’t care for the looks of hybrids then Titleist has a new club you need to check out. The Titleist 712U is a forged utility iron with hollow body 1025 steel construction geared toward traditional blade iron players that are seeking an alternative to hybrid woods. The 712U is designed with a deep center of gravity position for a higher moment of inertia for increased stability and playability versus a traditional long iron while providing enhanced trajectory and spin control. The club’s wider, camber sole design promotes clean turf interaction resulting in increased versatility for a number of shots. The 712U is offered in 2-iron (18º), 3-iron (21º) and 4-iron (24º) lofts. The 712U utility irons are available by custom order beginning May 15th with a suggested retail price of $235 with a steel shaft and $259 with a graphite shaft.
