Need to Know: Bridgestone introduced the J40 line of premium forged irons, J40 drivers and fairway woods, and the J40 wedges in the fall of 2011; the J40 Forged Dual Pocket Cavity irons feature a midsize head for producing a mid-to-high launch and a revamped dual pocket cavity that provides increased stability by moving more weight to the perimeter creating a higher Moment of Inertia (MOI); the J40 Forged Cavity Back irons feature a compact head with higher face progression for a mid-height launch and a unique v-cut cavity design that places more mass higher on the clubface for a higher center of gravity, resulting in a more controllable, penetrating ball-flight; the J40 wedges feature Bridgestone’s Variable Bounce Technology in the sole for increased playability from a variety of turf conditions; the wedges are available in Black Oxide and Satin Chrome finishes; the J40 driver and fairway woods are targeted toward better players offering reduced spin for greater distance; Bridgestone continues their emphasis on ball fitting in 2012 and introduces updates to models in the Tour B330 and Tour B330-RX lines featuring Dual Dimple Technology for longer distance, better accuracy and optimized greenside performance.
