The Foursome

Author: |

Target Audience: |
The golf fan or anyone who enjoys a good novel. Not
quite as much golf action in "The Foursome" as compared
to "The Green". |
Summary:
|
Eddie Caminetti takes center stage again in Troon McAllister's
second golf novel. In "The Foursome", friends Joe
Aronica, Jerrold Chelovek,
Dr. Peter Perrault and Deke Savitch set off to Swithen Bairn
by the lure of an incredible offer: "The
most memorable golf vacation
you ever had or you won't pay".
They are jetted off in
a plane with no windows
to a destination unknown.
Caminetti, noted golf hustler and Ryder Cup member, is part
owner of Swithen
Bairn inviting high profile
clients to the course
for "lessons",
not about golf but about
life. In the two big money matches played against the foursome,
Aronica, Chelovek, Perrault and
Savitch learn more about
themselves and each other than in the six years of their friendship
combined. Question is, will they
learn anything from it
and do anything about it.
"The Foursome" is a definite page turner but not
as gripping and enjoyable as The
Green in my opinion. Getting to know the
character of Eddie Caminetti
even better is worth the price of the book though. Who knows
what he will be up to next.
