Lovett Wedge Review:

Feel

The Lovett Wedge has a swingweight of D4 but due to the round shape and distribution of weight feels even heavier. It is easy to feel the weight of the head during the swing. The head glides effortlessly through sand and tall grass.
Looks

The look is as far from traditional sand wedge design as you can get. It is similar to the Alien wedge from several years ago but with a more rounded shape. The unconventional look will make traditionalists shudder but its performance out of difficult lies will make it look pretty attractive to those that struggle with sand play.
Performance

The Lovett Wedge works as advertised. While it still takes a decent swing to get good results, the wedge makes difficult shots much easier. Out of the sand, we found that all better golfers had to do was just pick the club up and drop it down and the ball just popped out of the sand every time. The wedge allows higher handicap golfers an easier time following through providing them a greater margin for error. Out of the sand and rough, we found the design to minimize the amount of twisting that usually occurs with these types of lies. We had a more difficult time getting consistent results from a clean fairway lie.
Summary

The Lovett Wedge is a great product for those golfers that need assistance in getting out of bunkers and find themselves with difficult lies from the rough. This club will mostly appeal to mid to high handicap golfers for this reason. Low handicap golfers will probably not see as much benefit from the club nor will they particularly care for the looks. Regardless of ability, any golfer that has trouble with their sand shots should take a look at the Lovett Wedge as a solution to their sand play. To those individuals, it is worth serious consideration as it will undoubtedly save some stokes over the course of a round.
