Cleveland RTG

Editor's Note: The beryllium copper wedges received a review that was similar to that of Cleveland's Raw Tour Grind (RTG) models. Both produce a softer feel at impact and differ slightly in shape and appearance. Suggested retail price is $150 for BC, $125 for RTG, and $110 for chrome. GM

Cleveland RTG Review:

Accuracy

Less-Avg-More

Very accurate. Much more confident with these wedges than the Callaway wedges.
Distance

Short-Avg-Long

Not much noticable difference in these versus the Callaway wedges but the wedges produce a lower trajectory which is easier to control.
Trajectory

Low-Avg-High

Excellent trajectory. The ball does not balloon and they are easier to control into the wind.
Feel

Less-Avg-More

Excellent. The RTG's rust over time but provide much better feel than previous clubs. Easier to control the in-between shots.

Forgiveness

Less-Avg-More

Not quite as forgiving but we're talking about wedges. They are bigger anyway and easier to hit.

Looks
Very traditional look and thin top line; not as shiny as the chrome versions; looks like a scoring club from 100 yards in.
