Comments on Use:

  • The Tour Tempo is an excellent way to manage and enhance your golf swing and putting tempo.
  • The Tour Tempo is about the size of a beeper and has a wire and comfortable ear piece included that doesn't interfere with a swing or putt allowing golfers to use while practicing.
  • The Tour Tempo has four settings that allow the ability to match your swing type to tones you can listen to while you practice.
  • An instructional CD is included when purchasing the Tour Tempo containing several tips and drills to be performed to engrain that tempo with every club in your bag.
  • The area we found the Tour Tempo to be very effective in was putting.  Again, you have four different tone settings to match your stroke to.  A fast paced tone that matches the likes of Nick Price or Allen Doyle to a slow rhythmic pace that is closer to a David Toms and two more tones in between.
  • Use of the Tour Tempo three to four days a week for as little as fifteen to twenty minutes can improve a putting stroke considerably making it more consistent, especially the four to six foot range.
  • We found that the tones emitted from the Tour Tempo stayed fresh in our head carrying over to the course when we were not carrying it.

Summary:
The Tour Tempo is a simple but effective way to make golfers better through improved consistency and feel for their golf swing. Tempo is so critical to becoming a consistent golfer. Golfers talk about how they want to emulate a certain player’s tempo all the time (i.e. Fred Couples, Ernie Els or Geoff Ogilvy of late) but to do so you have to visually think about that persons swing while you are swinging. The Tour Tempo provides a means to mimic tempo and does so in a manner that is very straightforward. We give the Tour Tempo high marks for ease of use and immediate impact to a golfer’s game. We recommend it to golfers of all abilities that could use some consistency to their swing or putting stroke.  The use of the Tour Tempo over an extended period of time will result in improved tempo and rhythm.
