Manufacturer’s Description:

New Image shafts offer a fresh new look for the golf industry.  Top quality raw materials, tight specification tolerances and their artistic appearance make them unique. New Image shafts are tested at their own manufacturing facilities to meet rigid specifications.  Once shafts have been approved, they are sent to engineers in Huntsville, Alabama. They undergo a second process of more extensive testing to determine the flex weight of each shaft.  This process finds the point of least resistance to bend when a shaft is deflected in a golf swing.  Shafts are then sorted to make perfectly matched sets.  Each shaft comes with its own information label providing a unique serial number, its flex weight, torque, length, flex and weight.  The location of the logo is strategically placed to face up or down for the shaft's maximum performance. At New Image, they take pride in every shaft produced.  All graphite shafts are custom hand painted - no two are identical.  The aesthetics are stunningly unique.   Each shaft is a work of art backed by technology to give you the best golf shaft on the market.

New Image Shaft Review:

You can't help but focus on the artistic image of the shafts first.  They definitely stand out and are very noticeable as being "different" by playing partners.  We reviewed irons, hybrids, fairway woods and drivers all fitted with different combinations of shafts and head.  As with any new club or shaft purchase, being able to demo each for ball flight and feel really makes a difference and adds confidence once you get dialed in.  Those with high swing speeds preferred the Gold Image shaft with the 2.5 torque and responsive tip.   It only comes in stiff and extra stiff.

The Red Image shaft, an ultra light shaft and 2.5 torque as well, in regular flex fit best for one of our reviewers whose driver swing speed is just below 100mph.  The feel was amazing and the ball flight ideal across the board.  There was no ballooning issues, the shaft stayed consistent on smooth swings and those where he tried to jump on it a little.  In trying the Red Image stiff shaft, there was quite a bit of difference in feel and distance which helped this reviewer settle in on the regular flex quite easily.  Knowing the engineering behind each shaft and that each one is tested thoroughly following manufacturing, gives any player using the New image shafts added confidence.  R.W. Eaks, longtime PGA and Champions Tour Professional, has been using these shafts for only a few months now and has already garnered a tie for first, two top 10's and an 11th place finish to end his year on the Champions Tour.  Eaks is not compensated for playing the shafts either.  We give the New Image shaft high marks for the engineering, design and looks.
