Feel Full Release Cross Line Grip

Information:

Club Reviewed: Feel Full Release Cross Line grip

Manufacturer's
Description:

The Full Release grip from Feel Golf features a reverse taper shape designed to promote a correct grip, allowing the left hand portion of the grip to be carried loosely in the fingers because the grip diameter is much smaller in the left hand than traditional grips. The grip can loosely be held by the fingers of the right hand due to the grip's larger diameter at the bottom of the grip as compared with traditional grips. With this patented TaperTip Technology, the grip is intended to fit comfortably and naturally in one's hands, thereby reducing the hand and wrist tension and increasing club control. The result is a proper release through impact. The USGA-conforming grip is available in four popular styles and fits on all standard shafts.

Feel Full Release Review::

Looks
At first glance, the grip basically looks like a traditional grip that has been installed upside down. Upon further inspection, we found that the patent pending design has a unique reverse taper profile that is intended to work for any size hands and fingers and eliminate the need for build-up tape. We tested the Cross Line model and later this summer, Feel will add three more designs including a Tour Wrap model. The grips are manufactured for Feel Golf by major USA grip companies. The quality is excellent and the appearance is first rate.
Price
The grips are available online from Feel Golf with pricing for a set of 13 grips at $99.95 plus shipping. Individual grips may be purchased for $9.95 each. Additionally, the grips can be purchased through Clubmaker-Online at www.clubmaker-online.com. The Cross Line model is currently available with the three additionals models available July 1, 2004.
Performance
We found that the Full Release grip really works. The grip feels comfortable in the hands and after a brief adjustment period, we found that the Full Release grip allows the golfer to release the right hand at impact thus minimizing and even eliminating the slice. The reverse taper shape not only feels good but allows the hands to relax more through the swing and naturally release at impact. The result was readily apparent with most reviewers making improved contact equating to increased distance and better overall performance. We found in using the Full Release grip on the driver that we gained a slight increase in swing speed. The grip was also effective on pitch and chip shots removing undesired tension in the control fingers. Finally, if used over an extended period of time, we also feel that the Full Release grips will engrain the proper tactile sensation of properly releasing the hands through impact, thus improving your game by improving your swing.
Summary

The Full Release grip from Feel Golf is an innovative product that deserves a serious look. We think that this grip will appeal to golfers of all abilities that have a tendency to slice and block their release at impact. Continued use of the Full Release grip will assist in engraining the proper hand release producing improved performance.
