Sizemore XM-2

Manufacturer's Description
The Sizemore Collection, a company formed around master craftsman, artisan, Chief Designer and Co-Founder, Bruce Sizemore, has introduced their flagship XM-2 Putter, the first putter to accommodate fully customizable alignment features and weighting options into their design. The XM-2 features the first revolutionary advancement in modern putter design, AIM™, Alignment Insert Management. This patented and cutting edge technology sets a new standard in putter performance. It allows players to choose their alignment preference as well as optimize their speed and distance control with a set of interchangeable weighted end caps. The XM-2 sports a triangular shaped mallet head with pronounced copper rail sight lines designed specifically for easy customization. To enhance optical or perpendicular focus, an alignment insert is simply removed and replaced with another optional alignment insert. At the rear of the putter head, two weighted end caps can be effortlessly replaced to accommodate for personal playing style and for various putting conditions. As with the entire Sizemore Collection, the XM-2 has been engineered with the IND-X™ or cross-milled face finish which ensures an incredibly accurate face finish. This state-of-the art design produced by the company's patented computer-driven milling process guarantees optimal reliability with a true response on any or all points of the putter face. Even outside of the normal "sweet spot", the IND-X™ face establishes a true roll and does not deflect a ball off-line. The IND-X™ face finish uses an innovative cross-milling process in twenty-seven different directions. It is then finished in a geometric pattern with exceptionally fine spacing which is aesthetically beautiful. In addition to its luxurious appearance, the structure amplifies the mild and controlled feel of the putter.  Sizemore has incorporated his Total Club Approach or TCA in the XM-2 as well as in the entire Sizemore Collection. It is his premise on which he develops and designs every putter. His TCA requirements include: -Original designs that have a unique look and feel; - Highest level of craftsmanship and construction; Tolerances less than 1/1000 of an inch; Tip-Stiff shaft technology for maximum stability; IND-X™ face finishes guarantee the flattest putting surface; 3-D optical design for superior alignment; Creative concepts for revolutionary technologies like AIM™

Sizemore XM-2 Review:

The XM-2 putter is beautiful. Its looks and performance instantly puts it in the top-of-the-line premium putter category. The aluminum and copper metals blend together beautifully on the IND-X cross milled face. The smaller head size provides plenty of forgiveness without the bulkiness of the majority of the mallets on the market today. We found that the feel of the XM-2 is what you’d expect from a copper face, soft yet crisp at impact. The response and feedback provided by the copper face is exceptional for a mallet putter. The heavy head with interchangeable back weights is very balanced, tracks extremely well, and gets the ball started quickly with little effort. One thing we did notice is, even though the putter is face balanced, at setup, the face had a tendency to sit open at address (similar to what we have experienced with the Scotty Cameron Futura putter). Once you’ve learned to adjust the club face, alignment is very easy with a long white sight line that extends from the leading edge of the face to the very back edge of the triangular head. The two copper rails also help frame the ball to the sweet spot. The double bend heel shafted design ensures a clear view of the ball at address which we tend to prefer to the center shaft designs that at times obstruct the view of the ball.

Quite simply, this is one of the best performing mallet putters we have ever used. The heavy head creates a very smooth stroke with very consistent speed/distance control.  The XM-2 also incorporates the company’s AIM™ (Alignment Insert Management) technology - a sophisticated combination of patented alignment and weighting inserts that are fully customizable. The Sizemore website describes their new line of putters as “aesthetically beautiful, with a stunningly luxurious look and feel”.  We would concur with their description completely. It looks and performs like the “Rolex” of putters.  We give the XM-2 putter by Bruce Sizemore high marks for looks and performance.
