Mitchell Brass Cup Series Review:

Setup & Alignment

Hard-Avg-Easy

The Brass Cup Mallet putter sets up very well behind the ball. It features a milled alignment cavity in the crown of the putter. The milled cavity is designed to be the identical width of a golf ball making alignment easy. The brass insert and three long gold alignment lines contrast nicely with the black body further enhancing the setup.
Feel

Soft-Avg-Crisp

This putter has a well-balanced feel to it. The ball comes of the face with a nice click to it. The insert, milled from 360 grade brass, is referred to as a "Thru-Face Insert (TFI)" and emphasizes the sound and feel of the putter with its extension that goes completely through the face. The putter is rock solid.
Performance

Less-Avg-More

The unique features of the Brass Cup mallet putter come together nicely and it just performs as intended. The weight distribution in the mallet design makes it easy to generate a solid putter stroke resulting in a smooth consistent roll on the ball. The putter’s grip by Golf Pride is the Mitchell Velvet Special and proved to be a favorite with our reviewers. All in all, we feel the Brass Cup mallet putter performs as well as, if not better, that the big name manufacturer offerings.
Looks

The Brass Cup putters are milled from a solid one-piece 6061 aluminum block and offer a unique alignment system. The insert is milled from 360 grade brass, mated to the putter heads and milled a second time to provide the flattest putting face possible. The model we reviewed featured a jet black matte smooth finish that contrasted nicely with the brass insert and gold alignment line. The head is large and long from face to back with a sleek profile. The putters come with a black leather putter cover that fits snuggly and matches the style of the putters.

We found the Brass Cup putters from Mitchell Golf to be a pleasant surprise. The quality and design of these putters are second to none. They receive high marks for ease of alignment, feel, and performance. We particularly liked the performance of the Brass Cup Mallet on fast bent grass greens. The putters are designed through state-of-the-art CAD programming, and 100% designed, manufactured and assembled in the USA, another big plus in our book. These putters serve as an excellent entry into the OEM putter ranks for the number 1 golf repair equipment provider in the world.
