Setup & Alignment |
|
|
Easy. Our reviewer has played with an "anser" style
offset putter since he first picked up the game and this
putter just looks natural behind the golf ball. The putter
sets up square behind the ball just by setting it down. We
have noticed some putters of this design have a tendancy
to close a bit at address requiring an unnecessary adjustment. |
|
Feel |
|
|
Crisp. Feel is very dependent on the type of ball being played.
The feedback to the hands with a harder ball is noticeable
but with a softer ball (Pro V1, Revolution, A10, etc.) we
found the touch fantastic with a nice click and smooth feel. |
|
Performance |
|
|
More. More forgiving than the Ping Anser 2 previously played
by our reviewer. Mis-hits that occured toward the heel did
not hurt distance at all. We also found that well struck
putts had a tendancy to stay on line and roll true. |

Looks
|
The SS-2 is a sharp putter with clean lines
and unparalleled craftsmanship. Very similar in design
and appearance to the Ping Anser 2 and Scotty Cameron Newport
2. Site line, KB Golf logo in cavity, and model name on
face provide an elegant modern classic look.
