Daito Stealth, Genesis, and Virtuoso Putters

Manufacturer's Description:
Daito Golf is a new putter company that is based in Montreal, Canada.  Daito putters are all CNC milled from solid blocks of Cold Finished Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Aircraft Alloy or Copper, as well as other precious metals, using the latest in design and machining technologies. Their manufacturing process allows them to take full advantage of the consistent density and relative softness of solid metals in order to produce a putter with unrivaled heel-to-toe balancing, true roll and ball control.  Cold Finished Steel models like the Virtuoso are available in a wide range of finishes while the Stealth and Genesis come in either black or natural matte nickel. All Daito putters are made with Royal Precision stepless shafts, custom-designed high-sensitivity Winn grips and are precision tested to ensure quality. The result is a putter that provides both professional and weekend golfers with the superior accuracy they are looking for and the genuine feel and consistency they have only dreamed about.

Daito Stealth, Genesis, and Virtuoso Putters Review:

The Stealth putter from Daito Golf is an oversize mallet design offering a unique shape and alignment aid. The head design features increased backend weighting that provides a higher moment of inertia and increased stability. We found the Stealth’s aerodynamic design to create a head that was very stable through the impact zone virtually eliminating any twisting of the head. We found the shape of the head combined with the long dashed site line made the putter easy to align toward the target. The putter features a 350g head weight that at 34”, we found to be well balanced and on the lighter side. The Stealth is made from a lightweight aluminum alloy and copper-nickel insert that offered a soft feel at impact. The Black Matte finish of the Stealth putter contrasted nicely with the golf ball enhancing alignment and setup.  The Stealth is available in lengths of 33, 34, and 35 inches in both offset and straight shaft configurations. The putter head weight is 350 grams, has 3 degrees of loft, and is available in right and left hand models. The putter features a Winn grip. We also looked at two other models; the Genesis and the Virtuoso Short Neck. The Genesis model is similar to the Stealth model but features a more compact head design and center shaft. Our experience with the Genesis model was similar to that of the Stealth: consistent results in a solid head design that was easy to align. The Genesis is available in offset or straight shaft lengths of 33,” 34” or 35” and weighing in at 340 grams. The Genesis is also available in either a Black or Natural Matte Nickel finish with a Winn Grip. The Virtuoso Short Neck model is a more traditional looking blade putter that is similar to the Zen Tour Blade that Stuart Appleby has won with multiple times on the PGA Tour. The Virtuoso comes in a variety of finishes at 33," 34" or 35" and gram weights ranging from 330 to 360. It is available in two neck styles (plumbers and short-neck) and also features a Winn grip. Each putter has online prices of $199.95 each. We give the Daito putters high marks for innovative design, alignment, and overall playability. The fit and finish of these putters is first-rate and we look forward to the continued emergence of Daito Golf in the putter category.
