Callaway Warbird Driver and Original Callaway
3 Wood |
Accuracy |
Just as accurate as my old
driver and 3 wood. These clubs are very accurate.
Distance |
The 3 wood is further
that the original 3 wood. As for the driver, can not tell
much difference right now (December) but feel that it would
be longer in the summer with more roll. |
Trajectory |
Much better trajectory
than with original Warbird driver (11 degrees). More difficult
to hit the driver as high off the fairway although the
3 wood can get airborne better than the original 3 wood. |
Feel |
Excellent feel and feedback. Can work the
ball easily with these clubs. Has a nice "tink" sound
to it when you hit. This sound gives the feeling of a very
solid hit.
Forgiveness |
About the same forgiveness as the original
Warbird. With the driver, mishits goes farther than the
original Warbird.
Looks |
Smaller head with more traditional look. Bore
through shaft design and Hawk Eye sole for improved playability
from a variety of lies.
Summary:
The Callaway SteelHead
driver and 3W provide all around solid performance. The clubs are
classic Callaway with excellent forgiveness and better than average
distance. Recommended for golfers of all abilities. More information
on Callaway Golf and their entire product lineup can be found on
their website at www.callawaygolf.com.
