Accuracy |
The ability to optimize the 430Q driver with the four movable weights adjusting to a golfer’s specific swing creates a very accurate driver. We found this club to be a fairway finder and very consistent. The 430Q driver proved to be as accurate as previous Adams Redline RPM drivers. With proper placement of the weights, we found we were able to work the ball fairly easily. Alignment was straightforward. |
Distance |
The 430Q provided above average distance. Like previous drivers in the Redline family, the 430Q is long off the tee. The driver’s shaft, at 46”, is longer than most on the market and aided in the distance of this driver. Like the original Redline RPM, the driver has a deep face necessitating the use of a longer than standard golf tee. |
Trajectory |
We were able to slightly change the trajectory of the ball flight by moving the weight in different locations. We did not experience any issues with ballooning. We really liked the results on off-center hits. We found that some distance was lost but the ball flight remained basically unchanged. We were able to achieve very consistent ball flight with this driver. |
Feel |
The feel is best described as solid. The Redline RPM 430Q driver produced a solid feel at impact with a high pitched sound. As we have stated in previous reviews of Adams drivers, we really liked the feel and weight of the stock graphite shaft available with this driver. Adams does a nice job of matching their stock shafts with their head designs. In addition, a wide variety of custom shafts are available to meet specific needs and tastes.
Forgiveness |
The 430Q is a very forgiving driver. We found minimal penalty with off-center hits. While not as forgiving as its predecessor 460cc Redline RPM or current sibling 460cc Redline RPM 460D drivers, the 430Q provided ample forgiveness for most swings.

Looks |
The Redline RPM 430Q features a dark charcoal near black finish with simple and uncluttered graphics. The composite crown features smooth top and triangle alignment aid to aid in alignment. The sole design features the weight ports providing “visible technology” giving the driver a futuristic high tech look. From address, however, the 430Q features a classic pear shape favored by many traditionalist golfers. The color combination of the head and shaft are striking and well-matched. |
Summary:
Once again, Adams Golf has impressed us with one of their drivers. They continue to improve on a driver design that clearly works. We give the Adams Redline RPM 430Q driver high marks for accuracy, distance, and forgiveness. This driver will appeal to low to mid handicap golfers looking to optimize a repeating swing with Adam’s movable weight design.
