Adams Redline RPM Review:

Accuracy

Less-Avg-More

We found the Redline RPM driver to as accurate as our comparison drivers. The driver is workable due to the fairly square face and neutral weighting offered even though the head is quite large. Alignment was straightforward as we have seen in the original Redline driver.
Distance

Short-Avg-Long

The Redline RPM driver provided excellent distance off the tee. The driver’s shaft, at 46”, is longer than most on the market and aided in the distance of this driver. Like the original Redline, the driver has a very deep face necessitating the use of a longer than standard golf tee. The golf ball seemed to explode off the face of this driver. With the ball teed high and a smooth slightly upward attack angle, this driver was fun launching long drives.
Trajectory

Low-Avg-High

The trajectory of the Redline RPM driver was a little higher than our comparison drivers with comparable loft. We did not experience any issues with ballooning. We really liked the results on off-center hits. We found that some distance was lost but the ball flight remained basically unchanged.
Feel

Less-Avg-More

The Redline RPM driver produced a solid feel at impact with an explosive high pitched sound. This may serve as a distraction to some golfers. We really liked the feel and weight of the stock graphite shaft available with this driver. Adams does a nice job of matching their stock shafts with their head designs.

Forgiveness

Less-Avg-More

As with the previous Adams drivers, the Redline RPM excels in offering excellent forgiveness. Penalties are minor on off-center hits. We liked the fact that we could come to play with our “B” swings and still get near “A” results with this driver.

Looks
The Redline RPM features a dark charcoal near black finish with simple and uncluttered graphics. The composite crown features two raised bars and triangle alignment aid to aid in alignment. The elongation of this driver from face to the back of the club provides a unique, muscular shape to the head that will take traditionalists some time to get accustomed. The color combination of the head and shaft are striking and well-matched.

Summary:
Adams Golf continues to be one of the most underrated driver manufacturers in golf today. They have consistently produced solid driver designs for the past several years that are long and forgiving. The Redline RPM driver continues this trend receiving high marks for distance and forgiveness. We found that the longer length shaft required smoother swings which typically resulted in longer drives. We feel that the Draw “D” model of this driver will especially appeal to mid to high handicap golfers and we think that low handicap golfers will like the playability of the Neutral “N” model.
