TourEdge Bazooka JMAX

Manufacturer's Description:
The TourEdge Bazooka JMAX driver features a 410cc titanium body and cold-rolled beta titanium face. Key to this driver is that the three key elements of the club's design are adjusted for each loft: face progression, sole weighting, and shaft technology. By slightly varying these key elements, each golfer can achieve an optimum launch angle and spin rate based on his swing speed. Shafts are made exclusively for TourEdge by premium shaft maker Fujikura. MSRP - $299 each.

TourEdge Bazooka JMAX Review:

Accuracy

Less-Avg-More

We found this driver to be very accurate. As with the most of the latest technology, the ball seems to really jump off the face therefore swings that aren't perfect don't stray to far off line.
Distance

Short-Avg-Long

The overall distance was about the same as our comparison drivers. The ball comes off the face hot therefore rolls a good deal when it hits the fairway.
Trajectory

Low-Avg-High

The Bazooka JMAX produced a nice boring trajectory that can be lowered or heightened based on tee height. One thing that was nice was when hitting balls at the higher tee height, the ball didn't balloon at all.
Feel

Less-Avg-More

Very good feedback on well struck shots as well as those hit towards the heel or toe. We could easily tell if when missed it a little but it still gave a good sensation to the hands.

Forgiveness

Less-Avg-More

A very forgiving club that looks and is very easy to hit because of the larger head. As mentioned above, even when the ball was struck with an improper swing, the ball didn't stray to far off line because of the way the ball comes off the face.

Looks
The rich dark finish on the crown is contrasted nicely by the mirror finish sole. The driver resembles some of the major manufacturer's drivers but with a much lower price. The head is large at 410cc with a deep face. The shaft graphics are simple with the shaft details hidden at address. The head does not have a site line, an ommision that some of our testers noted as a negative. The headcover is striking black with blue accents topping off a beautiful combination of color and style.

Summary:
The TourEdge Bazooka JMAX is a high quality, high performance driver that we first had an opportunity to hit at the PGA Merchandise Show's Demo Day at Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando. We were pleased with this driver then and now is no different. We feel that TourEdge has a winner in this club with a price point being well below the driver category leaders. The Bazooka JMAX driver by TourEdge will appeal to those golfers that are looking for a solid performing driver that provides above average forgiveness and offers as high quality appearance as you will find on the market.
