Golf Rules & Etiquette Crystal Clear is a hardcover book that provides an excellent background and introduction to the rules of golf as well as important etiquette information.   Yves Ton-That is a golf rules official and unravels the mystery behind the rules of golf by explaining them in an easy to understand manner.  His use of original illustrations makes even the most confusing rules straightforward.  

The book is organized with two main sections.  The Theory section has chapters on History, Systematics, The golf course complex, Score card, Par and the Slope System, Handicap, Stableford, Etiquette, and Basic Terminology. The Practical section has chapters on Before entering the golf club, In the club house, On the driving range, Important basic rules, On the tee, Through the green, In the bunker, In a water hazard, Out of bounds, On the green, and After the round. The book mainly focuses on stroke play but does address match play in an addendum.  While not intended to replace the rules of golf, Golf Rules & Etiquette Crystal Clear offers explanations and additional information that makes understanding the most important basic rules simple.  Special cases of the Rules of Golf are not considered within this book.  The book is designed to be a “working text” offering pages with wide margins so that personal notes can be added.
