Target Audience: |
Anyone wanting to improve their golf game. |
Summary:
|
Rotella takes you inside the head of many of the tour players
he works with which makes you realize the struggles these guys
face and they play the game for a living hitting balls most
every day. As an example, Nick Price mentions in the book that
he would rather not knock the ball close on the first hole because
if he misses the putt it sets a bad precedent for the day. He
would rather knock it to 25 feet and 2 putt. I couldn't believe
that the first time I read it coming from a successful tour
player. Rotella teaches you how to get in the proper frame of
mind when heading to the course. He talks about preshot routines,
course management and how to handle adversity during a round.
I went from a solid 8 handicap to a 5 within a couple of weeks
after reading it and have since dropped to a 2. Without a doubt,
the most influential book I've read about the golf game. I recommend
it to all my friends.
