2008 2.0 Model:

Review: What does the winner of the BEST NEW PRODUCT at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show do to its product? They improve it! After a wonderfully successful launch last year, Clicgear has taken feedback from consumers and made the Clicgear 2.0 Cart even better! Specifically, the Clicgear has:

  • Made the cart more "user friendly". By this we mean they've labeled every mechanism that must be pushed, pulled or turned which makes it easier to fold and unfold as well as how to work the hand brake.
  • Gone away from the traditional air pressured tire. Golfers no longer have to worry about keeping the cart in the garage and having the tires compress and decompress due to fluctuation in temperature. As a result, the life of the tire has been extended. The new and improved tires do not require any care and from a perfomance perspective they actually grip the course better than the previous tires.
  • Improved the drink holder by adding a piece inside the holder which securely grips the bottle locking it in place while still being easy to remove.
  • Included an umbrella holder mount attachment to the left and just below the handle. The umbrella can snap in and out very quickly and easily and also includes a bungy material rope that locks the umbrella in place when moving.
  • Added an attachment for your umbrella outside your golf bag but built into the cart. The golf bag is very secure in the Clicgear 2.0 Cart with the bungy cord straps on the top and bottom of the bag. The umbrella has its own space separate from the golf bag so it can be acessed readily when needed.
  • Added a place to secure a scorecard inside the console.
  • Added towel hooks on either side of the console.
  • Added velcro attachment for golf gloves just above the towel hooks.
  • Last but not least, they've added a mechanism for the compact position that locks it in place so that it's easier to load and unload from the car and can actually be used to hang along a garage wall for storage.

The Clicgear 2.0 Cart once again gets high marks in all areas and sets the standard for how a push cart should perform and look. It folds and unfolds in under 10 seconds, doesn't require anything to be taken apart when doing so and is the most compact cart on the market (24" x 15" x 13"). The cart comes with easy to follow written instructions as well as a DVD that you can watch if you need additional help or information. Their website, www.clicgearusa.com, also has plenty of material with video instructions. We feel that the Clicgear 2.o Cart is the best on the market. Review: The Clicgear push cart is definitely the best push cart we've used and tested to date. One of the main drawbacks to push carts is the size they collapse to when not in use. If four guys wanted to play golf and each of them walk, there was not enough room to carry golf bags and push carts in the back of a car or SUV. Clicgear eliminates that problem by collapsing to 2 feet high and just over a foot wide and that's without having to remove the wheels. At only 18 pounds, it could literally ride in your lap comfortably and yet when it is unfolded; it is one of the quietest and tightest carts you'll ever use. The other major benefit to comparison carts is the brake mechanism. Most carts have a button located in back of the tires that you push with your foot to lock and unlock. With Clicgear, the brake is right by the handle so you can set it easily and you know instantly whether or not the cart is in the locked position.  The handle on the Clicgear cart adjusts much easier than comparison carts and is not held on by a single bolt and nut. Other carts we've tested have had the bolt come unscrewed which makes for a long day trying to keep the handle from just falling off while you walk. Clicgear also offers a really nice console that can hold scorecards, a pencil, a few tees as well as a beverage.  Each is held in place by very strong bungy cord like material that easily expands and retracts. Also included is an easy to assemble air pump for the tires as well as an umbrella holder. We give the Clicgear Cart very high marks for it's engineering, performance, looks and ease of use. If you enjoy walking, this is the cart to get. For additional information on the the Clicgear Cart, visit their website at www.clicgearusa.com
