Review:The Bushnell PinSeeker 1500 with slope edition is an excellent range finder.   It can zero in on any target and give precise yardage (+ or - 1 yard) by simply putting the circle in the viewfinder on that which you want yardage to.  A reflective device is not needed in order for the Bushnell to work so it can be used on any course in the world.  Users can get yardages to 150 yard stakes in the fairways, bunkers, water hazards, trees and most importantly, flagsticks very easily. It definitely gives the golfer added confidence on the tee and from the fairway.  We were reviewing the Slope Edition which isn't legal for tournament play but you can use it during practice rounds in order to get yardages on uphill or downhill shots making notes in your yardage book. You can also compare it to sprinkler heads in the fairway as well to note whether they are accurate or not. The first time out using it, we played a course with a lot of elevation change. The yardage on a few holes played 2-3 clubs different and took the guess work out of those shots.  We found that we prefer it to a leading GPS-based rangefinder as well simply because the human element is taken out. GPS-based devices require a human to set the yardages in the unit at various points on the course downloading this information to the device.  We were playing our home course recently with a friend who was using a leading GPS-based rangefinder.  On one particular hole, the yardage it gave was 15 yards less than the marker we were standing by that gave yardage to the middle of the green. We shot it with the PinSeeker and noted that the GPS-based device was indeed off on this particular hole so trusting it the rest of the day would have been very tough.  In the two months we have used the Pinseeker, we have not found it to be in error a single time.  We believe that is why you see so many touring pros using them consistently in their practice rounds.  Overall, we give the PinSeeker 1500 Tournament and Slope Edition extremely high marks for its ease of use and for the advantages it can give a golfer.  It will definitely speed up the pace of play on course giving golfers quick and accurate yardages and the confidence to make the shot.
