Manufacturer’s Description: The patented Bionic Golf Glove was designed by a world renowned orthopedic hand surgeon and comes from Hillerich & Bradsby, the makers of the Louisville Slugger baseball bat.  The Bionic Golf Glove provides performance and benefits beyond ordinary golf gloves. Its patented anatomical and ergonomic design equips golfers with comfort, control, confidence and durability. The Bionic Golf Glove can even aid golfers who have arthritic hands. How can a leather glove do all of this? The Bionic Golf Glove, created by Dr. Jim Kleinert, one of the world’s top orthopedic hand surgeons, is designed to aid the anatomical form and function of a golfer’s hand. Patented anatomical relief pads placed between the hand’s bony prominences give wearers more control over their golf clubs, making them feel “one with the club.” Bionic gloves are the first and only gloves to receive the Arthritis Foundation’s Ease of-Use Commendation. Independent testing for the Arthritis Foundation demonstrated that Bionic gloves can significantly improve strength in the hands of people with arthritis while helping reduce their pain. Users who tested Bionic gloves reported that they could perform better and with less pain while wearing the gloves compared to bare handed. Golfers who have tested the Bionic Golf Glove are clamoring about its durability, with reports of as many as 15 strenuous rounds of golf played in one glove without noticeable wear or the start of breakdown. The Bionic Golf Glove’s soft cabretta leather, pre-rotated design, strategically placed anatomical relief pads and motion zones help a golfer’s hand interface with the club, making the Bionic Golf Glove amazingly comfortable and durable.

Review: At the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, we stopped by the Bionic Golf Glove booth to see what the buzz was all about. We were not disappointed.  Right out of the package we could tell it was very well made and once we got the right size, we found it to fit perfectly. While we were at the booth, a player brought a glove by that he had used for over 200 rounds of golf that was still in remarkable shape. While we have not logged that many rounds with it yet, we were able to play several rounds with the Bionic Golf Glove as well as multiple range sessions.

Our reviewers were all in agreement that the Bionic Golf Glove delivers the benefits claimed by the manufacturer. We found the fit to be excellent with no binding or tightness. One reviewer indicated that he felt like he didn’t even have a glove on. The padded areas were noted by the reviewers as they do stand out when putting the glove on. One reviewer didn’t think he would like that aspect of the glove but quickly changed his mind after hitting only a few golf balls. The Bionic Glove helps minimize the normal calluses and rough spots on the hands that occur during frequent normal play. One reviewer noted that on a cold day he hit a few shots that stung his right hand but added that he did not feel a thing in the Bionic Glove hand.

From a durability perspective, we found that the glove held up very well with virtually no wear noted on the glove material. Also we found that our hands were not as sore and fatigued after play when wearing the glove. The engineering behind the Bionic Golf Glove makes you feel like you are getting a finger massage when you put it on. It is very well made and is a glove that is built to last. The aesthetics of the glove are very high tech and we found that the elastic patches at the knuckles add to the fit and playability of the glove.

Overall, we give the Bionic Golf Glove high marks for durability, looks, and performance. The price is higher than any on the market at $24.95 each but because of its innovative design and durability, we feel it is well worth it.
