2001 PGA Merchandise Show - Putters




Bettinardi
Bettinardi introduced six new putters featuring available in a satin nickel finish. Also available is the new "Black Thunder" finish which provides greater durability. Several models in this year's lineup are available with a 24 karat gold plated copper insert. Bettinardi is said to be the leading candidate to design a new line of putters for Nike Golf.

Bobby Grace
Bobby Grace is back on his own and introduced six new putters (three mallets, three blades) all featuring the "Distinctive Black and Copper Dovetail Design", achieved by a proprietary new precision-mill manufacturing method. The putters have milled aluminum faces and copper weighting is used in the heel and toe to improve feel and weight. Includes an update the the classic The Fat Lady Swings putter.

Carbite CAP Series
Carbite Golf introduced the CAP Series of putters featuring patented brass balls insert, black nickel plating, and tungsten weighting in the heel and toe. The CAP hosel design permits multiple hosel configurations of each of three different body styles (heel toe blade, midsize mallet, small mallet).

Copper Stix
Copper Stix introduced the CS Series putters featuring one piece 100% milled construction with copper inserts and tri nickel finish. Three models are available with heel toe weighted design. Also presented were the CU Series of mallet designs. Mike Weir used the mallet design enroute to his season ending win at the WCG American Express Championship.

John Byron
John Byron Golf presented its line of putters including the Dale Head models. Around since 1989, John Byron putters are cast or machined featuring heel toe weighting and availablein a variety of finishes.

Kevin Burns
Kevin Burns Golf Manufacturing introduced four new milled low-end stainless steel putters. Models KB01, KB02, KB03, and KB04 with varying hosel configurations. Also introducing two new high-end models, the 9310 (center shafted) and the 9320 SN (heel toe weighted).

Kirk Currie
Kirk Currie introduced a new line of putters featuring the Personal Putter Fitting System. Custom options include weight lie, and length in both mallet and heel toe weighted designs.



Mizuno Forged by T.P. Mills
Mizuno extended its Forged by T.P. Mills line of putters featuring Grain Flow Forging technology which produces a more consistent feel. Available in three new models (7, 8, and 9) plus the original six T.P. Mills designs. Number 7 is a left handed model only.

Never Compromise
Never Compromise extended its Z/I line of putters with the Z/I Omega Mallet and Z/I Sigma Blade. Both are a result of their successful Center-shafted Prototype Series promotion. The new designs feature 3-piece contruction and patented Gray Matter middle section technology.

Odyssey TriHot
Odyssey Golf introduced the TriHot line of putters featuring White Hot insert and tungsten flange. There are three models available: #1 - face balanced mallet, #2 - scoop-back blade, and #3 - rounded heel-toe blade.

Pixl
Pixl Golf introduced the 1.8 Series putter line including two milled and three cast models. All models contain an insert with over 100 independent pixels made from your choice of either polymer (softer feel) or stainless steel (firmer feel).

Ping Isopur2
Ping Golf intoduced the Isopur2 series featuring tungsten weights place in the heel and toe that creates a greater moment of inertia and improved feel. The putter has a lower genter of gravity and milled face. Available in nine classic Ping designs.

Porsche Design
Porsche Design Golf intoduced the MICROMILLED line of putters which are milled from a solid block of mild carbon steel. The PD11 is a traditional blade style design similar to the classic Wilson 8802 putter and the PD12 is a heel-toe weighted model similar to the classic Ping Anser putter. Also introduced was the PD10 putter made from Cobalt Chrome which allowed a face thickness of just .055 inches (thinner than a dime). The thin face allows weight to be moved out to the heel and toe providing extreme perimeter weighting.

Punch Golf

Purestroke
Pureflight Golf extends their Purestroke line by adding four new models. These putters aremilled from soft carcon steel and are are available in four different finishes (black oxide, nickel platinum, bronze, and millennium pewter).

Ray Cook introduced the Billy Baroo Series line of putters. Available in four designs, these putters are cast of mild stainless steel and feature a cobalt nickel finish.

Scotty Cameron Milled Bulls Eye
Scotty Cameron and Titleist introduced two special edition Bulls Eye putters. The Milled Bulls Eye Blade and Milled Bulls Eye Flange putters are offered in a limited number and are forged from carbon steel, milled, and finished with the pro platinum finish.

Scotty Cameron Studio Design
Scotty Cameron and Titleist introduced four new models that make up the Studio Design series. The thin flanged blade designs are deginated by a number (1, 1.5, 2, 3) and feature a black oxide finish, a new dancing Cameron logo, and bright red, yellow, and white paint scheme.

Scotty Cameron Inspired by Mark O'Meara
Scotty Cameron and Titleist introduced a new model in their Inspired By line. The Inspired by Mark O'Meara putter is based upon the Newport 2 design with heel toe weighting, site line, and pro platinum finish.

Tad Moore teams up with Dunlop to introduce a new line of TM putters. There are six models available with the TM30 featuring a titanium face insert and CNC mlled body of soft nickel stainless steel and platinum finish.

Taylor Made Nubbins
Taylor Made Golf updates its Nubbins line by redesinging the inset og the putter. The orange color is gone also replaced by the new royall blue color scheme and TM logo.

TearDrop Golf introduced the TD Select line of putters featuring ROLL-FACE technology and unique dot formation face. Available in nine models (four head designs with multiple hosel configurations).
