| Accuracy |

Didn't notice much difference in accuracy vs
the 990's I'm currently playing. More accurate
than the s2h2's I played previous to those though. |
 |
| Distance |
|
|
On
the shorter irons, I was 5-8 yards shorter
than my 990's but that had to do with
length of shaft I believe. The TR-1 short
irons were 1/2" shorter than my
990's. In the mid irons, the TR-1's were
only 1/4" shorter than my 990's
so the distance was virtually the same.
On the mid irons, the ball seemed to
hang in the air longer than my 990's
and off center hits weren't penalized
that much. On the longer irons (3 and
4), off center hits went noticeably shorter
which is to be expected though.

| Trajectory |
|
|
|
A little bit lower than my 990's in all clubs
but as stated before, the ball really hung in
the air which was nice! Could work the ball
easier with these than the 990's. |

| Feel |
|

Provided very nice feedback
to the hands. A little better than the
990's although I can easily tell on them
whether I've pured a shot or not.

I would say average because
I didn't notice much difference in off-center
hits with the 5-PW, it was the 3 and
4 iron that were more noticeable though.

| Looks |
| Forged muscleback blade,
very clean lines, subtle graphics with
small oak leaf medallion and satin finish.
Really liked the looks of these. Reminded
me of the Mizuno MP-14's without the glare.
They looked fantastic in my bag!! |

| Summary |
| The Traditional TR-1 irons
are very impressive. Liked it as well as
any club I've hit lately. Great feel, trajectory,
and looks. Well worth looking into purchasing
these if your're looking for a new set
of clubs. |
