Miura CB-201

Miura Golf CB-201 3-PW set with True Temper Dynamic Gold R300 steel shafts and Miura full cord rubber grips.

Manufacturer's Description
The CB-201 cavity back irons from Muira Golf are forged from mild steel with a nickel stain chrome finish. The CB-201 irons use as its base design Mr. Miura's highly regarded CB-1005 (Japan) with certain slight profile changes to move it from the Japanese look to a North American look, particularly in the short irons. Mr. Miura believes that these subtle changes make the CB-201 his best ever forged iron. Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the club head. This eliminates void spots in the club face assuring that every Miura club in your bag has the distance control, ball flight, spin, and feel that any golfer should demand. This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura-made clubs the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers cannot achieve. Miura also uses a proprietary "spinwelding" process to produce the industries' most consistent hosel. This unique procedure ensures that the bore depths and hosel heights are identical on every Miura made head and the shaft of every club will be perfectly centered. Pricing for the CB-201 irons is $1095.00 per 3-PW set. A matching 2-iron is also available at $125.00 each.

Miura CB-201 Review:

Accuracy

Less-Avg-More

The CB-201 irons were found to be very accurate. The traditional look and minimal offset set up well behind the ball and they were easy to align. We were able to work the both both ways making control with these irons excellent.  We were pleasantly surprised to find the long irons easy to hit with a high trajectory.
Distance

Short-Avg-Long

We found the CB-201s to be as long as, even a little longer, than our comparison irons.  The lofts are somewhat traditional but this did not seem to affect the length.
Trajectory

Low-Avg-High

We found the trajectory of the ball flight with the CB-201 irons to be ideal.  It was easy to alter the trajectory with different shots.  The irons were just easy to control and provided a repeatable, boring, medium ball flight.
Feel

Less-Avg-More

The feel of these irons is absolutely amazing. They are soft and provide a nice crisp click at impact.  The aura around these irons within the industry is well deserved and we now understand why touring professionals like forgings by Miura.

Forgiveness

Less-Avg-More

Our expectations of these irons' forgiveness was not very high going into this review. However, as our testing continued, we were time and time again surprised at their forgiveness. While they are not as forgiving as many of the super game improvement irons on the market, they are certainly more forgiving than the majority of the forged “players” irons available today.

Looks
In a single word – stunning. The quality and finish of these irons is unmatched in the industry.  The CB-201 irons have clean lines and a satin finish incorporated into a traditional design favored by many players.

Summary:
