Titleist Pro V1 vs. Maxfli Revolution Solid Review:

Distance:

Pro V1: I read where this ball was made for players with high swing speeds. I don't swing that hard but did notice some increased distance on my drives (~ 10-12 yards) and was 1⁄2 club longer on my irons.
Revolution Solid: Couldn't tell any real difference in length to the ball I previously played (Precept MC D&S) and it was shorter than the Pro V1.

Feel:
Pro V1: Very nice feel coming off all clubs and especially the putter. I putt with an Anser 2 and you could hear the difference between this ball and the Revolution Solid. Much softer off the putter and on chips around the greens. Reminds me of the Titleist Professional since they basically have the same cover.
Revolution Solid: A little firmer than expected; noticeably different than the Pro V1.
Spin:
Pro V1: Titleist is advertising drop and stop performance with the Pro V1 but I actually had the ball spin back some. Spins very well, almost as well as a Titleist Professional.
Revolution Solid: Doesn't spin nearly as well as the Pro V1. Feels a lot like the Maxfli XS Tour ball but doesn't spin as well as it.
Durability:
Pro V1: Very durable with elastomer cover but if bladed, you can easily cut or dent the cover. Had a friend play one for 42 holes and he didn't notice that much difference distance wise from the 1st hole to the 42nd. That is saying a lot.
Revolution Solid: This ball is very durable especially with the cover not being quite as soft at the Pro V1.

Summary:
Pro V1: This ball performs. You can take a look at the results on the PGA Tour to see that. I was getting better than "summer time" length using the Pro V1 in the middle of February. As stated, it feels very nice on and around the greens. A little pricey but they do hold up well.
Revolution Solid: Wanted badly to like this ball as well as the Pro V1 simply for price reasons. It didn't happen in this initial review. Felt much like the Maxfli XS Tour golf ball that I played a few years back but doesn't spin as well.
