Precept MC Lady Golf Ball Review:

Distance:
The rave about this golf ball is the distance it provides without sacrificing much feel. With my driver, I've gained on average about 12 yards; with my irons about 5-7 yards and carries extremely well. It's a great ball in the sping/summer months and being 80 compression, is a ball you can play through the winter months too.
Feel:
Feels very good coming off the driver and irons and actually feels much better off the putter than the Precept MC D&S ball I played previously.
Spin
Part of the reason it travels so far is that the spin is reduced off the driver. Hitting a full shot into a green you can generally get it to check up, but a half shot can get away from you. Chips are the same way, it's hard to get the ball to check around the pin but if you don't short side yourself and give yourself some room to chip and run, it gives consistent results. Sometimes, other spin balls will check up when I want them to run. The MC Lady consistently runs when chipping around a green.
Durability:
Very durable. I've actually been able to get 3 rounds out of one ball. My RTG sand wedge is noted to shave other golf balls but doesn't harm these at all.
Looks:
Combination red and black with "Lady" written on the side. I've always drawn a line on the side of my golf balls for lining up putts so I mark through the "Lady". Some have actually referred to it as the "Laddie" ball instead of "Lady".

Summary:
The MC Lady is a fantastic ball that you can play year round and very reasonably priced. The usual price on these are $16.99 or $17.99 a dozen. If you see it priced higher, that golf shop is trying to cash in on the popularity. Just this month, they've run ad's in Golf World, Golf Digest and Sports Illustrated so I would imagine they are going to be harder to find. Alabama is where the craze initially started when one of the finest amateurs in the state was playing it and letting everyone know the great results.
I've been playing it for 3 months now and really like it. Gives you that extra confidence on long par 4's and par 5's that at one time were not reachable, now are. One other note I just recently played golf on a day when the high was 45 and the wind chill was 39. With other golf balls, I would basically subtract one club from whatever "summer month" club I normally hit. On this particular day, I played the same club as I would have in the summer months and didn't lose any distance with this ball. Give it a try, I think you'll enjoy it!
