Nike @ the 2002 Expo
Nike Golf had several new products on display at the Expo. Nike's initial entries into the fairway wood category are the T-40 Fairway Woods, available in two different sized models, Oversize and Tour. Both models feature a 40-gram Tungsten plug in the sole which increases the club's playability. The Oversize line is the same color as the Forged Titanium Drivers while the Tour line is gray in color and has a smaller head. Also introduced were the Forged Steel Drivers available in lofts of 9.5° and 10.5° in both graphite and steel. The drivers feature a large forged face and 300cc head size. The latest golf ball in Nike's expanding line is the Power Distance Super-Soft featuring a low compression rating and a very soft cover. Additional product introductions included a new line of golf bags, new shoe models, and Nike's first entry into the junior equipment category called the Nike Golf Learning System. Absent from the new products was Nike's next iron offering, the Pro Combo Irons, a progressive cavity set that should announced within the month with availability later this fall.
