Carbite Golf @ the 2002 Expo
Carbite Golf introduced the new Signature Series Putters, ABS and Basic Series Wedges, and TT-1 Golf Balls. The high-end Signature Series Putters are designed by Rick Hamilton with input from Freddy Couples who is currently playing a mid-length model of the heel-toe weighted putter. The putter is 100% milled from 17-7 Billet Stainless Steel and has Tungsten inserts in the heel and toe for added weight and stability. The ABS series wedges feature an insert that is a mix of hard particle materials, including diamonds, in a soft aluminum matrix for soft feel, durability, and consistent spin rates. There are four ABS models to choose from including the Fuzzy, Shira, Fatsole, and Neckless. The Basic Wedge series features classic wedge shapes in soft steel and a variety of lofts. The TT-1 Golf Balls feature a two-piece design that is weight-centered making the ball perfectly balanced improving performance from tee to green. The B Series Putters were also presnted at the Expo. These putters feature the Brass Balls insert with 23,000 tiny brass balls in a polymer substrate for the improved feel that brass offers. Currently tour professionals Retief Goosen and Nick Price are using the B Series putters. Also presented was the Sergio Garcia Putterball.
